Take this block for instance - many times I tried the lighter Chicopee print as an 'inner' circle part of a block - but nooooo, that was all wrong. Finally I tried it as the 'outer' background of this block - and yay, soooo right! Crazy but true!!!
Hello strawberries. Hello mushrooms.
And HELLO my-all-time-favourite-stick-it-in-every-quilt Chicopee print. I fear using you all up. Every time I talk about this print I have to go to Etsy and order more.
Up next - actually sewing some of these together. Have a good week all!

ReplyDeleteBurning those candles into the wee hours seems to have worked magic. Your quilt is looking gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa, I haven't been over since the GYB party... sorry! Yikes, where does time get to? I just wanted to say I love your color combinations in your quilts! I love the quirky fabrics but whenever it comes time to use them myself I end up chickening out! My home is French country with lots of orang-ish reds, golds, yellows, toiles and so on. I just can't imagine where I would be able to make a quirky-ish quilt fit in... Your work sure does make me want to try though!
ReplyDeleteHope you are well and the weather is becoming more spring-ish?? It's still brrrr here in New Hampshire and actually it's been snowing most of the day! I love winter but...
